Tournament of Minds
Team of 5-7. Pick one of 4 disciplines (STEM / Language Literature / The Arts / Social Sciences). Receive a complex open-ended challenge, work on it for 6 weeks, then perform a 10-min dramatic presentation to a judge panel. Also has a same-day "Spontaneous Challenge."

Different from anything else on this list. Long-term creative work, not "answer 25 questions in 30 min". Worth it for kids who thrive on creative/dramatic work — engineers and writers in the same team is the magic. Not a fit for kids who like fast/concrete questions. Often run as extracurricular at school level.
