Top pick among math comps for primary kids. Lower entry cost than ICAS Math, broader recognition, the questions are genuinely good (designed to be learning experiences not just sorting). Worth it for anyone in OC-track or selective-track — high AMC scores are a credible signal. Skip if your kid finds school math hard; AMC will be discouraging. The Math Challenge for Young Australians is the next step up if AMC turns out well.
